Maple Leaf Square X
United Visual Artists
Turning technology into enduring art
For Toronto’s Maple Leaf Square, I guided the commissioning of a permanent art installation that integrated new technology into a mixed-use development. I facilitated the design competition with United Visual Artists, managed review of designs, technology, materials, and budgets, and bridged communication between artists, architects, engineers, contractors, and project owners. I also led fabricator selection through prototype testing and negotiated contracts, ensuring UVA’s first North American, permanent, and largest work at the time would be a success.
